Malabar Spinach Red Stem

Malabar spinach is a climbing variety and can gain a height of 20 feet and a spread of 3 to 5 feet. If the tips of the branches are not pruned they can become unruly.

Sow seeds 1 inch deep in well-drained, fertile soil. The seeds will germinate in 7-10 days.

Never let the soil dry.

The plants need stakes to grow vertically. Otherwise, the vines will spread on the ground and cover the other plants.
