It is a perennial plant and remains productive for several years. Sem phali seeds can be sown in February and March, and in the monsoon months of July and August. It spreads on a large area and can sprawl up to six meters. Growing the vines vertically can save a lot of garden space.
The seeds take ten to fifteen days to germinate and the plant starts blooming in 60 to 100 days.
It’s better to harvest the vegetable in the morning or late afternoon because that vegetable tastes better.
Keep the soil moist. Add some compost every month to the soil to maintain the productivity of the plant and to make the soil well-draining.
