Russian tarragon plants are perennial, meaning they live for several years. Seeds should germinate in around 10-14 days at a soil temperature of 15-20°C. Quite hard to find tarragon seed generally.
The leaves and the flowers have an aniseedy flavour and go well with chicken and in salad.
Sow four to six seeds per pot in moist, composted soil. Once seedlings sprout 2-4 inches, thin them to one seedling per pot.
