Garlic

Break the garlic bulbs up into individual cloves. Sow the cloves either on ridges or in flat bed. Push them about one and a half inch deep in well-drained, fertile soil. Point the tips of the cloves upward. Cover loosly with the soil. Keep a distance of 3-4 inches between the plants and 8 to 12 inches between the rows. Water thoroughly.

Garlic may take 7 to 10 days to germinate. After germination, keep the soil moist but don’t overwater. Garlic needs hot and dry summer to mature the bulbs.

Mulch the base of the plants with straw, fallen laws, compost etc.

Garlic prefers full sun. So select a spot that receives 6-8 hours of sunlight every day.
